Kankakee, IL – City of Kankakee Economic and Community Development Agency (ECDA) will be postponing all events and public meetings until further notice. This decision is made in consideration of COVID-19 and the recommendation to practice social distance in an effort to slow the spread of disease.
This announcement includes bi-monthly workshops, public hearings, and any other ECDA sponsored community events. Future dates for events and public meetings that are being postponed will be announced as decided. “We encourage residents to be safe and conscious of their health, as well as the health of those around them,” states Executive Director Brewer-Watson.
“It is our upmost priority to be concerned for the safety and health of our communities. We will continue to post updates on the City of Kankakee’s social media platforms and website. Please continue to follow the protocol and safety measures issued by our health officials,” said Mayor Wells-Armstrong.
Kankakee Economic and Community Development (ECDA) is a local government agency whose mission is to improve the lives of Kankakee residents and enhance the economic vitality of communities through housing, economic development and community development.
