KANKAKEE RIVER VALLEY ENTERPRISE ZONE

The City of Kankakee has partnered with neighboring communities and Kankakee County in the formation of the Kankakee River Enterprise Zone. Within specific geographic areas, and as authorized and certified by the State of Illinois, the KRVEZ provides for discounted building permits, sales tax exemption on materials purchased and used in construction, 0.5% State investment tax credit, qualified State sales tax exemption for machinery and equipment, qualified State utility tax exemption, and other benefits.
